It’s been a while since I’ve done a Substack Live, and I’ve missed it—the ability to jump online, talk directly with you, bring in guests, and have a conversation in real time.
So today I'm going live today with my friend Miles Taylor—and he's joining us from Dallas, where the Republican midterm convention is getting underway.
Miles and I have gotten to know each other pretty well. We have something important in common. Both of us have discovered what can happen when you say publicly what you believe to be true, and powerful people don't like it, and then suddenly your life changes (for the better, in many ways).
Miles has responded by building DEFIANCE.org. And this week he and his colleagues are in Dallas, and they’ve brought a powerful trove of documents with them: a traveling reading room containing millions of pages of the Epstein files, timed to coincide with the Republican gathering.
And he's there with several Epstein survivors.
Miles asked if he could bring some of them onto our Live conversation.
Of course I said yes.
I don't know exactly where this conversation will go. That's one of the things I've always loved about live television—and now about this brave new world we're building together. There is no script. There is no edit. We'll talk about what Miles is seeing on the ground in Dallas. We'll talk about why he brought these documents there. And, most importantly, we'll listen to the women who lived this story.
